Handicap Betting

  • The result at the end of regulation time (60 minutes) determines the result of the wager. Overtime and penalty shootouts do not count towards a team's score for wagering purposes. If a game is tied at the end of regulation, wagers placed at +1/2 are winners.

  • Team to Score the Most Goals: If two or more teams listed have the same amount of goals, then the team with the most shots on net will win the contest. If there is still a tie, then the bet will be split with a payout of the original wager, multiplied by the odds quoted, multiplied by 1/N where N is the number of teams tied.

Baseball

Various Leagues Offered: AL, NL

  • Wager on a baseball game by using runlines, moneylines, game totals, and team totals.
  • Wagering on Futures: ie: Odds to win the World Series, Odds to win the Pennants, Odds to win the Divisions, Total Regular Season Wins

Baseball Rules

  • When wagering on baseball moneylines, the following options apply to pitchers:

      Pitcher Options

      1. Listed Pitchers - both pitchers must start in order to have action.
      2. Selected Action - the pitcher of the team you have wagered on must start in order to have action.
      3. Opposing Action - the pitcher of the opposite team you have wagered on must start in order to have action.
      4. Action - there is action regardless of the starting pitcher.

*Starting Pitcher = Pitcher who starts game and throws the first pitch for the team. *Choosing an action bet (options 2, 3, or 4) might lead to an adjusted price if the starting pitcher does not start the game since the original price was based on the listed (advertised) pitcher starting the game.

  • When wagering on runlines, game totals, or team totals, both listed (advertised) pitchers must start, otherwise there is "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" on straight wagers, and parlays drop to the next lower level
  • A baseball game becomes official for moneyline wagering purposes after 4 1/2 innings if home team is winning, or 5 innings if visiting team is winning.
  • If a game is cancelled or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called).
  • Money will be refunded if the home team ties the game, and the game is then suspended.
  • Events do not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified).
  • For runlines and game totals (over/under), a baseball game becomes official after 8 1/2 innings if home team is winning, or 9 innings if visiting team is winning.
  • If a game goes past 9 innings and is not completed (ie suspended, curfew, rain delay, etc.), there is action on game total and runline wagers.
  • When betting on "mega runs," all games that are covered must be declared official for action. Action continues on mega run bets regardless of starting pitchers.
  • Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.
return

Horses

Fixed Odds Wagering

  • Wagering on Future Events i.e. Breeders Cup, Kentucky Derby, Preakness, etc.
  • If the horse that is wagered upon does not qualify to enter the race, the wager is a loss.

Thoroughbred Wagering

  • Wagers can be placed on all thoroughbred tracks.
  • Wagering is possible by Win, Place, Show, Exactas, Quinellas, Trifectas, Parlays and Daily Doubles.

Horse Rules

  • A time stamp will be placed on all wagers.
  • All horse wagers must be placed prior to two (2) minutes before the tracks published post time. All wagers placed past this cutoff will be cancelled.
  • Track Odds will be paid on winning horses up to a maximum of:
Straight wagers: Win 20-1, Place 8-1, Show 4-1
Exotics: Exactas, Daily Double, Trifectas, etc. 100-1
  • Wagers will be graded by horse name and not the program or post position number.
  • When betting horses with an entry, and you want action on all horses in the entry, you must choose the entry, i.e. 1X (Entry), and not an individual horse. For example, in a race with 1, 1A, and 1X, you must place a bet on 1X to guarantee action on both 1 and 1A. By placing a bet on 1X, you still have action even if one of the horses in the entry scratch.
  • You also have the option of placing a bet on an individual horse (i.e. 1 or 1A) in an entry which means you only want action on the entry bet if the individual horse selected does not scratch. If the individual horse selected runs, your wager will be treated the same as a bet on 1X (Entry).
  • Exotic wagers will only be paid in cases where the particular track offers this type of bet. If an exotic wager is placed on a race that does not offer it, the wager will be refunded.

Horse Matchups

  • All horses listed in the matchup must start in order for there to be action. However, in cases where the matchups are against "the field," (meaning all other horses in the race) and a horse scratches that is part of "the field," the bet will still stand.
  • The winner of a horse matchup is the horse with the best finish placement.

Harness Racing is not available at this time.

return

Golf

Win or Show

  • We offer odds for a golfer to win or show (show = 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) in a tournament. If the golfer does not tee off to start the tournament, the wager will be "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money will be refunded.
  • In the event of a tie, odds are paid proportionally. This is determined by taking the odds for the wager and adding 1 for the stake. The result is divided by the number of golfers involved in the tie, and then multiplied by the number of winning positions occupied.
ie: If 3 golf contestants tie for 4th in a tournament the payout would be (1 + odds) divided by 3 [number of contestants tied for 4th] multiplied by 1 [number of winning positions occupied - 4th place only].
ie: If 3 golf contestants tie for 3rd in a tournament the payout would be (1 + odds) divided by 3 [number of contestants tied for 3rd] multiplied by 2 [number of winning positions occupied - 3rd and 4th positions].
  • If a tournament does not go the scheduled number of holes (usually 72), and PGA officials agree to shorten it, wagers are still valid.

Wagering on match-ups between golfers

  • The winner of the match-ups will be decided by which golfer ends up with the lowest score having played equal rounds. Both golfers must tee off in the tournament or the wager will be "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money will be refunded. If one of the golfers misses the cut, withdraws, or is disqualified during the tournament, the opposing golfer wins the match-up.
  • Often match-ups are updated after each round. These new odds will be for the entire remainder of the tournament including the possible event of a playoff.

Golf Rules

  • Golf Prices (Matchups, Win, and Show) will be updated daily for each tournament whenever possible. All prices will reflect the entire tournament and not the daily events.
  • Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.

Soccer

Moneyline with Tie

  • This is the most common odds used by Olympic Sports where the bettor (punter) has three choices: team A, team B, or a tie. This type of wagering makes sense, since in regular season it is possible for a match to end in a tie. If you wager on a team in this scenario and the outcome of the match at the end of 90 minutes is a tie, the wager is a loss. If you wager on the tie, and one of the teams wins at the end of 90 minutes, the wager is a loss.

Important Note

  • Olympic Sports mainly uses Moneyline with Tie type of odds. Unless otherwise specified, all bets are for regulation time (first 90 minutes) only. Different bookmakers apply different sets of rules with regards to soccer betting. Please make sure you understand Olympic Sports full set of rules before wagering on soccer.

To Advance Wagering

  • For competitions such as the World Cup or FA Cup a two option only line may be quoted. This is a wager on a team to advance, whether they win in 90 minutes, in an extra time period, or in a penalty shootout. There is no possibility of a tie.

In Game (or Live) Betting

  • For popular events, the game itself may be opened again for wagering after it is has started. Please note that this is ALWAYS AN ADJUSTED GAME PRICE. It is not a wager to win a certain half, such as may be offered for American football or basketball.

Proposition (Exotic) Wagering

  • All proposition wagers are for 90 minutes only. This includes:
    • Correct score - where you must correctly predict the final score of the game.
    • Halftime/fulltime - where you must correctly predict the result of the game at half time and at 90 minutes. For example if you wager USA/Draw as your halftime/fulltime option then USA must be winning at half time, and a draw at 90 minutes for your wager to be a winner.
    • First/Last goal scorer - where you must correctly predict the player who will score the first (or last) goal. This comprises two separate markets and you must clearly state whether you wish to bet on a player to score the first OR the last goal. Any bets accepted without first or last goalscorer stipulated will be deemed to be bets on the first goalscorer market. Bets on players who take no part in the game will be void. Bets on first goal scorer, where the selection does not play until after the first goal has been scored will be void. Bets on first goal scorers where the selection is substituted or sent off before the first goal is scored will be treated as losers. For last goal scorer purposes, should a player take any part in the game, then the bet shall stand. Own goals do not count for purposes of first/last goal scorers. Prices for players not quoted are always available on request, and will count as winners if they score the first/last goal.
    • Player to score at anytime - where you must correctly predict a player to score at any time in 90 minutes play. If a player takes no part in a game then bets will be void.
    • First half betting - this is on the result of the game as it stands at the end of the first half. Please note that this includes three options and you will notice that the draw can be a favorite for first half betting. Should the game be abandoned prior to half time then all bets shall be deemed void. However, if the game is abandoned after the half time result is known then all bets will stand.
    • Total goals - where you must correctly predict the number of goals in the game. This market will typically have three outcomes; 0 goals, 1 or 2 goals and 3 or more goals.
    • Booking Points - where you must correctly predict the number of booking points in a game. For betting purposes, a yellow card will be allocated 10 points and a red card allocated 25 points. The maximum points any individual player can accumulate is 35 points. This market will typically have three outcomes, for example; 25 points or under, between 30 to 40 points and 45 points or over. In addition, booked players must be playing at the time of the booking.
    • Team to score first/next goal - where you must correctly predict the team to score the first goal. In the event of a game being bet in play then prices on team to score next goal will be available. Please note that there will also be an option for no first/next goal in this market.
    • Total Corners - where you must correctly predict the number of corners taken in a match. Corners awarded but not taken will not count towards the total. This market will typically have three outcomes, for example; 10 corners or less, exactly 11 corners, 12 or more corners.
    • Time of first goal - where you must correctly predict the time of the first goal. Please note that there will also be an option for no first goal in this market.
    • Total Shirt Numbers - where you must correctly predict the aggregate number of the goal scorers' shirt numbers for all the goal scorers in the match. For example, in a match between Everton and Liverpool, Liverpool won the match 3 - 0. Michael Owen scored two goals (Owen wears shirt number 10) and Harry Kewell scored 1 goal (shirt number 7). Therefore the aggregate number for this match was 27 (10 + 10 + 7).

Soccer Rules

  • All odds are subject to fluctuation and amendment and are based on the result at full-time. The terms full-time, 90 minutes play, and normal time are all used to denote the period of play that includes injury time but not extra time, penalty shoot-outs, etc.
  • Bets will be accepted up to the advertised kick-off time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its kick-off time, the bet will be considered past-post and voided accordingly. Game date and times posted are for guidance purposes only and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
  • Total Goals Betting - Wagering on game totals (over/under) only include goals scored in regulation time. (First 90 minutes)
  • Outright Betting - Where there are odds quotes for Outright as well as 90 minutes play (i.e. Cup Finals, etc.) unless "to win outright" or qualifying price has been laid, all bets are settled on 90 minutes of play.
  • Divisional Betting - In divisional betting, the finishing position of teams at the end of the scheduled program of matches will determine placing with no allowance for play-offs or subsequent enquiries by the respective leagues.
  • Postponed Games - If a game is postponed and rescheduled to occur within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets stand. If rescheduled for more than 48 hours later, all single bets are void and wagers refunded while affected multiple bets will be recalculated excluding that leg.
  • Abandoned Games - Should a match be abandoned before 90 minutes of play then all bets will be declared void and wagers refunded WITH THE EXCEPTION OF:
    • bets involving first goalscorer and next goalscorer, provided the first/next goal has been scored before the match is abandoned,
    • bets involving time of first goal, where the time of the first goal has been determined before the match is abandoned.
    • bets involving result at half time (not including half time/full time betting), where the half time result is known.
return

Tennis

Fixed Odds

  • Like other similar types of contests, you may wager on a player to win a tournament at fixed odds.
  • Tournament wagers are considered "All-In." Refunds are not given if a player withdraws.

Match-ups

  • Head to head match-ups are available between contestants.
  • Two full sets must be completed without either player retiring or being disqualified for head to head match-up wagers to stand. Otherwise, wagers will be "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money will be refunded.
  • Wagers placed on match-ups WILL have action even if the match is postponed (due to weather) and completed on a later date.
return

Boxing

Types of Wagers

  • Wagering on a fighter usually involves Moneyline (Win Price) types of odds.
  • Proposition wagering is often available including total number of rounds, win by knock-out, win by decision, and even wager on the draw.
  • The draw is available as a proposition. If you wager on a fighter, and the fight ends in a draw, the wager is "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money is refunded.

Boxing Rules

  • The decision that is declared the night of the fight will be considered final and used when grading wagers. Wagers will not be re-graded if the decision is overturned at a later point in time.
  • If a match is postponed and rescheduled to occur within 30 days of the original start time, all bets stand. If rescheduled for more than 30 days later, all single bets are void and wagers refunded while affected multiple bets will be recalculated excluding that leg.
  • Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.
return

Motor Racing

Odds on major NASCAR/CART/IRL races available.

  • Results will be graded at the end of the race as posted on nascar.com. If there was an error by nascar.com in the posting of the results, then the results will be regarded. If changes are subsequently made due to appeals or decisions of Nascar unrelated to the original finishing order (i.e. penalties for rules infractions, dangerous driving, etc.) the original results will still be deemed as the official results for grading purposes. Appeals and administrative penalties are not applicable for betting purposes.

Nascar Win Odds

  • You may wager on a driver to win the race at fixed odds. Wagering on the "Field" includes any driver that odds have not been assigned to.

Nascar Match-Ups

  • When wagering on a match-up, both drivers involved must start the race (cross the start/finish line) otherwise the wager is "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and money is refunded. In a case where the starting driver is replaced during the race with another driver from the same team, the position the new driver finishes in will be awarded to the original driver. This holds for wagering on win odds and/or match-ups.

Nascar Match-Ups (Qualifying)

  • Qualifying match-ups are graded based on qualifying times (not the starting line-up).
  • Qualifying match-ups are deemed action as soon as the driver starts the qualifying lap and the timer begins.
  • If a driver has started the qualifying lap, but does not post a time because of mechanical failure, accident, etc. the wager will still be graded as action.
  • If the driver fails to start the match for any reason, then the wager will be graded as no action, and money refunded.
  • If a driver start a qualifying session, but fails to post a time, then the driver will be deemed to have no time, which is the slowest time possible. If two drivers are matched up against each other, and neither posts a time, the matchup will be graded as a push/cancel.
  • In the case where two drivers post the exact same time to the thousandth of a second, then the matchup will be graded as a push/cancel. The starting position where Nascar places them in this instance is not relevant for betting purposes.
  • All qualifying matchups are closed at the start of first practice. Any qualifying bets made after the first practice session has begun will be graded as no action, and the bets will be refunded.

Nascar Propositions

  • All Nascar propositions will be graded if the race is run to at least half of the scheduled laps with the exception of "average speed for the race." Average speed will only be paid out if the race is run to the full scheduled number of laps. If the race is halted prior to the scheduled number of laps, then the average speed contest will be graded as no action, and the bets will be refunded.

Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.

Formula One / 500cc Motorcycles

  • For wagering purposes, the start of the race is defined to be when the first car/bike crosses the start/finish line when the start of the race is officially signified.
  • All bets are on the driver/rider competing in the race.
  • Bets will be settled on the basis of the result as declared on the race day by the controlling authority (podium finish) irrespective of any subsequent undecided protest.
  • In match-up propositions, all drivers involved in the match-up must start (cross the start/finish line) or the wager is deemed "no action," and the wagers refunded.
  • In match-up propositions, if one driver fails to complete the race, the other driver will be declared the winner of the match-up. Where both drivers fail to complete the race, the number of full laps completed will determine the result. If both drivers fail to complete the race on the same lap, the wager is deemed "no action," all the wagers refunded.
return

Rugby

  • In the event a match is abandoned or postponed, all bets are void and wagers refunded.
  • In the case of a drawn match, all bets at the moneyline will be void, and money refunded. Bets made at the line will stand.
return

Cricket

One Day Matches

  • In the event of a tie, all bets will be void (all bets called off)
  • If a full match is abandoned (due to weather or any other reason) all bets on the match are deemed void and are refunded. If a match is transferred to a reserve day, new bets will need to be placed.
  • If a match is declared a "no result," it is deemed abandoned, and all bets relating to the end result are void, and money refunded.
  • If a match is shortened by the relevant recognized governing body (due to weather or any other reason) but not abandoned, all bets will stand including in running bets and the results will be those determined by the relevant recognized governing body under the competition rules. (Duckworth/Lewis method)
  • In knockout competitions (i.e. ICC Knockout and World Cup) "bowl offs" to determine the result of an individual match will not count. Tie or abandoned rules will apply.
  • In tournaments where a "bowl off" is required to determine the winner, the result of the "bowl off" will apply.

One Day Series Betting

  • All scheduled matches must be played, otherwise all single bets are void and wagers refunded. Affected multiple bets will be recalculated excluding that leg.
  • In a two team, best of series, the event of a tied series where both teams are declared joint winners, all bets will be refunded.

Test Matches

  • In the event of a tie, all bets will be void and money refunded.
  • In the event of a tie in two way betting (i.e. Australia to win and Australia not to win), all bets will be void and money refunded.
  • All scheduled matches must be played, otherwise all single bets are void and money refunded.

Other Rules

  • For batting (most runs) or bowling (most wickets) "head-to-head" betting, both batsmen must reach the crease or both bowlers must bowl one ball for bet to stand. Otherwise, all single bets are void and wagers refunded.
return

  • Three day weekend refers to Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
  • Four day weekend refers to Friday/Saturday/Sunday and Holiday Monday.
  • All movies must be shown in at least one thousand (1,000) theatres (USA and Canada) for action. If the movie(s) are not shown in one thousand (1,000) theatres, then the contest will be graded as no action and all money will be refunded.
  • The official results are those of Neilsen Entertainment, and are posted on Monday for a three day weekend, and Tuesday for a four day weekend at www.entdata.com.

Notes

  • "All-In" Betting is a term that means once you place your bet it will stand regardless of whether your team or selection plays or not. This condition will generally apply to "win the competition" or "win the tournament" type events.
  • *All futures are regarded as "all-in" betting - no refunds are given in the case an individual or team withdraws from such event.
  • Unless otherwise specified, events must take place within two weeks of the date specified for the event. If the event is postponed beyond that time for any reason, then the contest will be declared no action and all bets will be refunded.
  • The official result as declared by the sports governing body is used to decide bets on sports not mentioned in this guide.
