AD: 12-20
Bets and Pieces: Since 1995, Baylor is 13-29-2 ATS as a home underdog. You've been warned!
North Division
MISSOURI (8-4 SU, 5-6 ATS): With 14 returning starters and the all-important games versus Nebraska in Columbia this year, the Tigers are a slight favorite to win the Big 12 North this season.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 39-41
ATS: 38-37-1
HF: 15-11
HD: 7-6
AF: 3-9-1
AD: 10-11
Bets and Pieces: Missouri is just 3-8-1 ATS in college football betting in its last 12 meetings with Oklahoma.
NEBRASKA (9-4 SU, 7-4-1 ATS): The Cornhuskers return just 11 starters and play USC again this season but should be able to generate a bowl season. The key is the Oct. 6 visit to Missouri.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 57-26
ATS: 40-38-1
HF: 21-18
HD: 4-2
AF: 12-10-1
AD: 3-7
Bets and Pieces: Nebraska is 5-1-1 all-time ATS versus Texas A&M, which it faces on Oct. 20.
KANSAS STATE (7-5 SU, 6-5 ATS): The return of 15 starters and a second season under Coach Ron Prince should have the Wildcats in the thick of the Big 12 North race.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 53-31
ATS: 43-34-1
HF: 21-15
HD: 6-2
AF: 9-9
AD: 6-6
Bets and Pieces: Kansas State is 11-2 both SU and ATS versus state rival Kansas the last 13 years.
COLORADO (2-10 SU, 4-7 ATS): Crushed by injuries and devastated by five defeats by less than a touchdown, with 15 starters back, the Buffaloes should show solid improvement.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 43-41
ATS: 41-42
HF: 13-16
HD: 6-5
AF: 7-5
AD: 11-10
Bets and Pieces: Since 1986, the underdog is 13-4 ATS in the Colorado-Colorado State rivalry.
KANSAS (6-6 SU, 6-5 ATS): It's nice having neither Oklahoma nor Texas on the schedule, a factor which could lead the unlucky Jayhawks (two losses by a field goal or less, plus two overtime defeats last year) to a winning record.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 31-49
ATS: 32-42
HF: 9-8
HD: 8-14
AF: 2-2
AD: 13-17
Bets and Pieces: The home team is 12-3-1 ATS in the Kansas-Iowa State series since 1991.
IOWA STATE (4-8 SU, 3-8 ATS): With just 11 starters and a league-low 28 lettermen returning it's difficult to see how the Cyclones avoid another cellar-dweller season in the Big 12 North.
By the Numbers (Regular Season, 2000-2006)
SU: 41-40
ATS: 37-38
HF: 13-7
HD: 6-13
AF: 5-3
AD: 12-15
Bets and Pieces: Iowa State has been solid as a favorite (18-10) but awful as an underdog (18-28) ATS the last seven seasons.
Legend:

ATS = Against the Spread
HF = Home Favorite
HD = Home Underdog
